“Tears”
This
painting comes in different meanings, the meaning will depend on the
audience’s perspective. But for me as the painter, it is about my goals,
emotions, and motivations and dreams.
The
“tears” which is my entry to the contest Water Summit with the theme “Silent
Water, Run Deep” It simply means how the world is weeping. The hand that is
holding the paper represents the people who still care of our mother nature.
The paper would mean our world, for an artist like me a piece of paper would
signify my world. The world is weeping as our natural resources were rapidly
destroyed by irresponsible human acts without a word our world is screaming for
help, asking for help to those who still care. I used red violet as scheme for
my painting since it blends the color of blue and red which has a great meaning
to the idea I want to import to my art. Blue means Soul while red means
something material.
Still
there are other meanings of it, observing carefully you will see the letters at
the right like EMC. I really love Albert Einstein. If you know the life,
autobiography and personal prejudices you would know why I choose Albert
Einstein to be a part of the painting.
It can
also reflect my life and my goal that even how blurry and painful may goals to
achieve, I still go for it. But the truth is the true meaning of it is my
personal emotions I can’t tell anyone and I joined the contest to refract the
hard feeling I have during that time and the other meaning were the result of
emotions and inspirations during the making of “tears”.
