Arduino Starter Kit
More than 1 month ago I bought a drone. I don't really know why I bought it instantly, maybe I was too amaze of its technology. It is really expensive for me because it is worth P6,000. That was the most expensive wants that I bought since birth.
When I opened and tried to use it, I was disappointed. I think it was just a really simple toy. What I want that time is to build my own drone. So I searched for some tutorial on how to build it until I arrived at
Arducopter. I was amazed because there is really a challenge in making it. It is not just a toy but it really catched my interest because of its great challenge before you can play with it. I really have a zero knowledge in electronics, arduino and any of it, and that made me think that I need to go for the basic before anything else, so I ordered an Arduino starter kit from Lazada which is not available in our country so I need to wait for more than 1 month and available only from west. It cost P2,782 and available in Lazada

My packaged arrived february 10, 2016. I was too excited to use it but I don't have any tools. I immediately go to the nearest electronics shop to buy basic tools such as tester, soldering iron, soldering led, soldering paste.
When I am ready to test my kit, I realized that I need to have a power supply which lately I found out that it is not really necessary because arduino is powered by a usb. I bought a ac/dc converter kit and assemble it. I can't found any fast tutorial so I tried to analyze how the electricity flows and just do it myself. Luckily I finished assembling the power supply without any aid of any tutorial or reference.
With the help of youtube, I installed the Arduino IDE follow a simple LED tutorial with Arduino. You can see the tutorial in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1FVSpkw6q4
This is a very simple project. It is just like making your first Hellow World application in other softwares.
Sequential_blinking.ino Code
/* A simple program to sequentially turn on and turn off 3 LEDs */
int LED1 = 13;
int LED2 = 12;
int LED3 = 11;
void setup() {
pinMode(LED1, OUTPUT);
pinMode(LED2, OUTPUT);
pinMode(LED3, OUTPUT);
}
void loop() {
digitalWrite(LED1, HIGH); // turn on LED1
delay(200); // wait for 200ms
digitalWrite(LED2, HIGH); // turn on LED2
delay(1500); // wait for 200ms
digitalWrite(LED3, HIGH); // turn on LED3
delay(200); // wait for 200ms
digitalWrite(LED1, LOW); // turn off LED1
delay(300); // wait for 300ms
digitalWrite(LED2, LOW); // turn off LED2
delay(300); // wait for 300ms
digitalWrite(LED3, LOW); // turn off LED3
delay(300); // wait for 300ms before running program all over again
}
I will continue studing Arduino and update you guys about what I am making. For now I need to rest :) Tnx for reading
