How to Change the default Admin Password of PLDT H5004N Modem

1. Login to your Modem.  Type "http://192.168.1.1/" in your browser. Username is "adminpldt" while password is "1234567890". 

2. Select "Advanced" then  click Admin. You will see Backup Restore at the sidebar, select it.


You will see the Backup Restore Settings. Select Save to save the data containing the settings of your modem. It will save a file name "config.img" file.

3. Now open the "config.img" file in notepad or any text editor. Find the text string that looks like this
<V N="PASSWORD" V="1234567890"/>
You might see 3 string of text like this. Change "1234567890" to any paswword you want. Do not remove the ""

 Example:  <V N="PASSWORD" V="newpassword"/>



After you finished changging the password now save it.

4. Now go back to Backup Restore Settings and load the "config.img" file that you edited. Select "Choose File" then click "Upload"


CONGRATULATIONS!!! Your password has been changed!!! :)
